Jonathan Toomey
Vice President, Content Development, National Association of Broadcasters

Jonathan Toomey joined the National Association of Broadcasters in September 2015. As Vice President of Content Development, Jonathan is tasked with the strategic design, development and execution of all conference education and digital content for convention and business development programs.

For the past two years, he produced globally leading conferences for various asset heavy industries and cross-industry line-of-business functions for an international conference production and research agency. He was most recently the lead producer for ‘SAP for Utilities’, the largest SAP single industry event in North America.

Prior to that, he worked in the television industry for 8+ years in NYC. He’s worked the talk show circuit and spent time as a TV critic, though the bulk of his tenure in Manhattan was at Showtime — first on the network broadcast operations side, then on the marketing side. As a copywriter for Showtime’s in-house agency, Red Group, he worked on numerous campaigns for originals like Californication, Dexter and Homeland, as well as external campaigns for CBS and Smithsonian Channel.

Jonathan holds a dual B.S. in television/radio/film and economics from Syracuse University.
